New Goodies from Ranger Finally On Shelves!

For us crafty folks, Valentine’s Day really happens in March when all the new products and collections we hear about at CHA finally make their way to store shelves. It’s a very exciting time of year and no coincidence that March also happens to be National Craft Month.

During the recent CHA Mega Show, I was glued to Periscope to see all the awesomeness through the eyes of attendees.  The greatest part wasn’t just finding out about new products, but seeing them demonstrated by the designers themselves.

Ranger Ink

The Ranger booth was constantly mobbed and for good reason. They have great products and their signature designers are celebrities in their own right. My two favorites are Tim Holtz and Dyan Reaveley, both of whom have great new products that are now available. Bonus: All Ranger products are marked down by 15% at Scrapbook.com!

Tim Holtz Distress

Tim Holtz continues to expand his Distress line with varied releases of new things to color with, build texture with, and even new storage solutions. These are my favorites from his new line:

Tim Holtz Distress Marker Tin – We’re supposed to store our Distress markers horizontally, but the old case was round. This new metal tin holds 70 markers, will not roll on to your floor, and looks great!  The lid acts as a kickstand which makes it easier to find and grab the color you’re looking for. Finally!

Tim Holtz Distress Collage Medium – As a lover of découpage, I’m extra excited about these. These new gel mediums come in three finishes — matte, vintage, and crazing. Ranger is also releasing a 3-pack of minis and new brushes are available in three sizes for use during application.

Texture Tools – A new set of six texture tools for creating patterns in Texture Paste or thick gesso that you can then paint or color over.

Dylusions by Dyan Reaveley

Dyan Reaveley has fun new products, too.  I love her art journals and some of my favorite new products of hers are lifted straight from them. Here’s what’s on my Dylusions shopping list:

Dylusions Breeze of Birds Stencil – I love birds and this is a really cool stencil. They’re arranged in all directions and sections can be masked off if you don’t need an entire flock, murder, or covey.

Dylusions Postcard Images – 8 postcards taken from Dyan Reaveley’s art journals that you can either admire or cut up and use to embellish your own creations.

Dylusions Adhesive Canvas Images – 8 more designs from Dyan’s art journals, but this time on adhesive-backed canvas sheets! Fancy stickers! I have no idea what I’d do with them, but they feel more collectible than anything else. My local Michael’s is carrying these, which surprised me.

Dylusions Coloring Sheets – 24 coloring sheets pulled from Dyan’s journals. You get two each of twelve designs on that fabulous Dylusions paper. My local Michael’s is stocking these, as well!

Keep Going

Scrapbook.com constantly adds new products, not just in March.  They’re also nice enough to let us know what’s coming soon, as well, to stay ahead of the curve. Find something to inspire your creativity and have a Happy National Craft Month!
